Kiambethu Farm
Kiambethu Farm was bought and farmed by AB McDonell in 1910 who was a pioneer in the tea industry. He was one of the first to make and sell tea commercially in Kenya. Five generations have lived on the farm and it is currently run by his granddaughter Fiona Vernon. The farm house is set within beautiful gardens in Tigoni, surrounded by acres of tea and indigenous forest – home to the Colobus monkey. Kiambethu Farm welcomes you to experience the privilege of touring a historic tea plantation in Kenya alongside a 3 course meal fresh from farm to fork. Tea is more than just water boiled with leaves- its history, traditions & culture are carved out of generations past. Farm tours are open every Thursday to Sunday each week starting at 11am.
